Hello, I'm a Skint Millennial! I'm 21 and live in the North West of England.
After getting my first 'proper' job back in 2016, I used to waste my wages on clothes, going out, food etc. and I felt as though I didn't really have anything to show for it.
In April 2017 I decided that I'd quite like to move out. Although at the time I was only 20, I felt ready and confident enough to buy my own home.
For the next 10 months I saved like crazy. Giving myself minimal spending money, turning down events with friends and putting in extra hours at work all to increase my savings.
I've started this blog to help both myself, and the people reading. I'd like to document my journey to buying my first home (at the age of 21!) to inspire others, and show them it is possible in today's climate. But it will also help me, as I can hopefully find out new ways to make more money and save more money!
In May 2018, The Skint Millennial was born! A fitting name for a fitting generation we are.
